Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In the following years, she worked as a the morning news anchor as well as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell received an award for the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. Additionally, she is a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. The anchor has hosted a number of Pre-ShowArrivals programs to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted also The Miss USA pageant as well as the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
